As a board director I am committed to the district's vision and mission and to ensure that each and every student in Wenatchee Public Schools receives rigorous instruction, meets grade-level standards, and graduates on time regardless of their personal or economic circumstances.

Como director de la mesa directiva estoy comprometida a la vision la mision del distrito y me asegurare de que todos y cada uno de los estudiantes de las Escuelas Publicas de Wenatchee reciban una instruccion rigurosa, cumplan con los estandares de nivel de grado y se graduen a tiempo, independiente de sus circunstanias personales o economicas.
ABOUT ME
Education has been a lifelong passion of mine as I know first hand the benefits and opportunities it can provide. I was born in Los Angeles, CA, I am a first generation Mexican-American and an English Language Learner who was raised in a low socioeconomic household by a single parent. Despite these adverse childhood experiences I graduated from Enumclaw High School, Enumclaw, WA, and earned a bachelor and master’s degree from the University of Washington Tacoma.
While conducting research for my master’s thesis, (The Impact of Standardized Testing on Latino Students), I met my husband, Ricardo. Ricardo and I have been married for 16 years and have a son who attends Wenatchee Public Schools.
Education has opened many doors for me, which is why I have centered my professional career around education. I began my career as a student recruiter for the University of Washington Tacoma before relocating to Wenatchee. In 2006, I was hired by the Wenatchee School District where I worked for over 12 years. I am currently serving as the Chief of Staff at Wenatchee Valley College.
In addition to my appointment to the Wenatchee School Board on January 14, 2020, I enjoy serving my community through various organizations. Including, parent volunteer for Wenatchee School District, Wenatchee Youth Baseball and NCW Sundevils Baseball; CAFE; Community Foundation of NCW; College Mentor and AVID Volunteer at Wenatchee High School and Washington State’s Latino Civic Alliance.
My lived experiences reflect many of the students our district serves. My service as a school board member is to extend the opportunity of a high-quality and equitable education, in which all Wenatchee School District students can thrive and be future-ready.
ACERCA DE MÍ
La educación ha sido una pasion durante toda mi vida, ya que conozco de primera mano los beneficios y las oportunidades que puede brindar. Nací en Los Ángeles, CA, soy mexicana-americana de primera generación y un estudiante del idioma inglés que creció en un hogar de bajo recursos con una madre soltera. A pesar de estas experiencias adversas, me gradué de Enumclaw High School, Enumclaw, WA, y obtuve una licenciatura y una maestría de la Universidad de Washington Tacoma.
Mientras realizaba la investigación para mi tesis de maestría, conocí a mi esposo, Ricardo. Ricardo y yo hemos estado casados por 16 años y tenemos un hijo que asiste a las Escuelas Públicas de Wenatchee.
La educación me ha abierto muchas puertas, por eso he centrado mi carrera profesional en la educación. Comencé mi carrera como reclutador de estudiantes para la Universidad de Washington Tacoma antes de mudarme a Wenatchee. En 2006, fui contratada por el distrito escolar de Wenatchee, donde trabajé durante más de 12 años. Actualmente me desempeño como Jefa de Personal de Wenatchee Valley College.
Además de mi nombramiento en la Mesa Directiva de Wenatchee el 14 de enero de 2020, disfruto servir a mi comunidad a través de varias organizaciones. Incluyendo, padre voluntario del Distrito Escolar de Wenatchee y Wenatchee Youth Baseball; CAFE; Fundación Comunitaria de NCW; Mentor universitario y voluntario de AVID en Wenatchee High School.
Mis experiencias vividas reflejan a muchos de los estudiantes a los que sirve nuestro distrito. Mi servicio como miembro de la junta escolar es para extender la oportunidad de una educación equitativa y de alta calidad, en la que todos los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de Wenatchee puedan prosperar y estar preparados para el futuro.

On April 12, 2022, the Board determined the best course of action would be to move to a district-based voting system with four director districts with one at large position.
District 2 encompasses precincts: 141, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 152, 156, 157, 1140, 410, 420, 421, 440, 421, 420, 421, 440, 441, 452, 561, 580, 581, 591.
El 12 de abril de 2022, la mesa directiva determinó que el mejor curso de acción sería pasar a un sistema de votación basado en distritos con cuatro distritos directores con un puesto general.
